Food for Thought

Ever since I was a child I’ve heard the phrase, “You are what you eat.” And I 100% subscribe to that. I physically notice a difference when I am putting nutrient rich foods into my body versus when I am filling it with nutrient deficient foods. But, how often do you really pay attention to what thoughts you are feeding your body?

I think the phrase “You are what you think!” holds just as much relevance and should be just as well known. Nutrient rich thoughts make all the difference when it comes to your mental and emotional thoughts. Nutrient rich thoughts give you energy, stamina, and resilience. In contrast, nutrient deficient thoughts leave you exhausted, unmotivated, and drained.

Bring awareness to the thoughts you are feeding your brain. Notice them. Notice their effects. Make a plan to prepare and ingest the kinds of thoughts that will not only sustain you but help you to thrive.
